We celebrated Kai's Gotcha Day this year by going to an Arcade and bowling and playing games. We had a fun time as a family. Levi is getting old enough that Kai has a lot of fun playing with his little brother. Kai really wants a little sister. He talks about it all the time. He reads books about adoption and wants a Taiwan or China sister. We hope to adopt again so maybe he will have a little sister from China or Taiwan.
Kai is doing first grade level schoolwork. I am so proud of him. He also continues to do well learning piano. He plays in a festival this Saturday. His piano teacher is from Taiwan. She is excellent and has very high standards for him. Kai has a lot of friends and is very social. He is very loving and friendly.
Kai is such a blessing to us. We love him so much. We cannot imagine life without him.We are so lucky.

Kai with baby brother Levi and some of his cousins.
Movies with the cousins in Nana and Papa's camper.
Keep cool!
The whole group of Cousins. Kai and Levi are bottom right next to their first cousins Matt and Emily(sitting directly behind Matt).
Kai wanted me to get a picture of this lego spaceship he built.
Well, this Summer has been busy. Kai is still enjoying Karate class and is really learning a lot. He has also started piano lessons and I am happy to see how much he is grasping. It is also starting to really help his concentration. His piano teacher is originally from Taiwan and attended Christ College outside Taipei before she moved to the US to study Music. She is a great teacher and is working very well with Kai. Kai is an active little boy but his teacher is very patient and encouraging and inspires him to practice hard.
Recently we attended a family reunion of sorts. My husband's family coordinated a campout inviting several of his cousins and siblings and all their kids. So Kai had a fun weekend playing with lots of little cousins. We didn't camp this year. We stayed in a Cabin, It was a long drive there and back and having an easy place to stay with AC made it a nice time. I think the long drive accompanied by a hot weekend on the ground in a tent would have done us in. We do want to do more camping though when the kids are a little older.
This 4th if July weekend has been fun and relaxing. We didn't make big plan. We took the kids to see the fireworks in our subdivision on the 3rd. Kai has been scared of them in the past, but this time he liked it.
He said, "Maybe the fireworks are Ssu saying Hi to me. Maybe she wants to be with me." I said, "Maybe so."
I have posted pictures and video from recent activities ( if I can get them to upload!).
